Protein Description This magnesium-dependent enzyme catalyzes the hydrolysis of ATP coupled with the transport of calcium. Involved in bone homeostasis. Has a role in osteoclastogenesis where it regulates RANKL-induced calcium oscillation, a key step in the differentiation process. Also promotes survival of mature osteoclasts, probably by preventing toxic accumulation of intracellular calcium..
